Language: English/Arab

Join us for a poetry evening, as part of our monthly Palestine Book Club!

Savannah Bay launches a book club on the topic of Palestine in collaboration with Podium voor Palestina. From fiction to non-fiction, every last Monday of the month we will come together to discuss books about Palestine.

The series’ lineup starts with a Poetry night on the 30th of June, followed by the first book discussion on the 29th of September on ‘The 100 Years War on Palestine’ by Rashid Khalidi.

After that we will delve into the beautiful world of Arab and Palestinian literature, and start with “Mornings in Jenin” by Susan Abulhawa.

More books and evenings to follow!

The bookclub is not a year-month-long commitment, feel free to join any month you like! It is also okay if you have not read the book and would just like to join the conversation. There will be snacks and drinks available. The event is free!

This evening we will dive into the world of Palestinian Poetry, with beautifully skilled poets such as Mahmoud Darwish. Poems will be performed both in English and Arabic.
